Oklahoma Was OK!

Monday morning, we woke up early and did all those luxurious things RV camping folks do before moving on to a new campground: Wash dishes, wash oneself, and dump the trailer waste. But it was all good because we had a great time at Zan's and we were heading to Oklahoma, where (apparently) the wind comes sweeping down the plain. Here we are, looking pretty bright and shiny on the morning of Day 33:

It was still a bit humid in Oklahoma, but we had each other to keep things cool, haha.
We stayed one night at a super-tidy RV park called Wanderlust Crossing in Weatherford, noticing once again how the terrain changed rather dramatically from Missouri. Check out this tree, which is symbolic of the MASSES of such trees lining the highways, byways, fields, and local campgrounds in Oklahoma:

I really like the look of this ON1 preset, even though it was not at all dark or dreary that day! I just enjoy how the textures feature this tree, which was directly behind our campsite. We experienced some rain drops and wind but otherwise, the weather in Weatherford was quite mellow. We drove into town for groceries and ice, and I located a very cool liquor store that sold some pretty nice wines and Champagne. We hadn't seen such a store in several days, and our supplies dwindling, I picked out a few choice budget bottles to add to the boxes I'd been carrying into and out of the trailer since we began our journey (and that should have its own blog, but alas, I have not the time to devote to wine once it has been consumed!). It was a quiet night for us and we were all fast asleep by midnight. The next morning, we saw some cool clouds overhead:

I used ON1 to give the photo a very edgy look, as we weren't sure if a full-on storm was brewing or what. That didn't happen . . . at least while WE were in Oklahoma. Either way, I love looking at and photographing and/or manipulating my images of clouds and skies, and you might have figured that out by now.
As we were about to leave the campground, I saw this beautiful pond that definitely called to have its picture taken:

I gave it a dreamy look in ON1, because basically we were in a travel haze of wonderment and wanderlust at this point, haha!
And then we were off on our next phase of the freedom journey. It would be a long haul along the I-40 West to our next stop in Tucumcari, New Mexico.
If any of you are still keeping up, I hope you're enjoying the posts! See you down the road, friends and family! Sending you all much love.💖
