A Roadside Dream Come True

Ron and I slept until 8AM today, although, it's still 7AM in California (we are slowly adapting to the first time change).

We left our campsite in Fillmore and I just HAD TO HAVE a photo of these adorable sunny yellow flowers we've been seeing for miles and miles and miles on the roadside since we got out of the Zion area along the I-15.

(Side note: Please don't judge us for saying "the" in front of any highway names. As the French say, you wouldn't go outside without an "article" of clothing on, so why would you speak or write without structurally proper grammatical "articles"?!)

Anyway, here is that photo! My wish came true!

As you might be able to see, I did some extensive editing to give this image a custom look. I love editing photos!

Another fun fact: Did you know that I have been working on an extensive photo-journal project since 2011?! When completed, it will include over 350 photos with personal stories, with a theme and everything! This photo, and some of the others in this travel & creativity blog, just might appear in the photo-journal. But I digress.

Ron and I did a relatively short drive today as far as cross-country trips go, but tomorrow we're probably going to clock 5 to 6 hours. We vowed to get up extra early — no sleeping in, haha — as this will be a long drive for us, and especially for our Miss Precious Perfect cargo (that's Nilla btw). Nevertheless, Nilla is adapting quite nicely and she is starting to grace us with her adorable personality.

See you here, hopefully tomorrow, as we share more photos and stories of our travelin' times. Much love to you all!
